1. Quality System Development
A Quality System, also called Quality Management System, is a set of processes and assets that together provide a framework for the operations of an organization. We describe the required development processes in close cooperation with the customer’s specialists to be sure that the processes fit the organization. If necessary, pilots are performed, the processes are based upon the findings from the pilots and deployment plans are made and managed.
2. Assessments
Determining the current process status of an organization or project is an important aid to gain insights that form a basis for improvement actions. We perform assessments to measure the maturity, suitability and adequacy of processes. Usually multiple processes of an organization are evaluated and compared with a Quality Model (e.g. ISO9001, CMMI or TMMi®).
3. Process Improvement Programs
Based on the outcome of an assessment an organization can define areas where it wants to improve. We can help to determine specific improvement activities, assign a project manager and execute the improvement project plan. Regular reporting to the management and other members of the organization will be performed to create sufficient acceptance of the changes.
4. Test Process Improvement
We analyse customer’s test processes and judge the efficiency and effectiveness of the current test process. On basis of the information gathered, a tailor-made advise is given for improvements of the test process. We also lead the setup and implementation of test process improvements, including training.
5. Virtual Development (Global Development)
Virtual (Product) Development is the development of a product by a virtual team. A virtual team consists of sub-teams located in other sites, in other countries or continents. Virtual development is far more complicated than traditional all in-house development because of: (1) Physical distance, (2) Time zone differences, and (3) Cultural differences. Virtual development projects are very difficult to control and are a threat to product quality. We provide analysis and improvement services in all of these aspects.
6. Value Chain Process Improvement
Many system integrators outsource the development of specific components to suppliers. Issues with outsourcing relate to a few basic topics: Competitiveness, Trust and Interfacing between parties. We will analyze, assess, improve and tune the processes and the interfaces in the value chain. This will lead to an improved interface between the system integrator and the supplier performing the specific development, adapted development processes of the suppliers and an adapted development process of the integrator.
