I’m Anton Evers, the owner of PIQA Consultancy. Together with my network of colleagues with specific skills and experiences we can help you with improvement of your product development or IT organization.

Ambition

As I know from experience, a lot of knowledge on development processes is hidden in the staff members of an organization. I find great reward in digging up that knowledge and using it for improvements of working processes. It gives new energy to a company and also to me.

I want to play a role as a coach or project manager in improving your development organization for technical and/or software products either as consultant or as interim quality manager.

Personality

I am a highly committed person that wants to deliver optimal quality in my work. I am a good listener and a team player at all levels in the organization. My thoughtful nature enables me to identify the more subtle cultural and political aspects that may influence the business of an organization.

Skills

Due to different management positions in both functional and matrix organizations I have a wealth of organizational and management skills. My analytical mind makes me suited to manage and coach developers and cooperate with decision makers in a technical environment. My extensive experience in working with multi cultural teams has made me well aware of the influence of culture on change.

My thorough knowledge of quality models like ISO, EFQM and CMMI gives me the opportunity to select the best solutions for improvement challenges. In combination with my software development background and project management experience, I can quickly identify any bottlenecks in a project oriented development organization.

Achievements

As consultant I have helped Thales and ASML with describing their development processes in order to align engineers and managers on their activities and responsibilities.

In my role as quality manager I have successfully deployed the Business Creation and Management processes, including CMMI level 2 practices, within the Design Technology & Flows sector of NXP Semiconductors including various assessments in the different geographical locations. Slip on projects was brought down to less than 5%.

As software manager and manager Verification & Validation of the Reuse Technology Group within Philips Semiconductors R&D organization I was responsible for resource and competence management in a matrix organization.

As software manager I have brought a software development group of Philips Consumer Electronics in Hasselt successfully to CMM level 3. The subcontract management process and the organizational process database were identified as best practices within Philips. Major success was the development (together with an external partner) of an audio recorder which was executed according specifications, on time, within budget and with no post-release defects.

For Origin I have supported as consultant the world-wide ERP implementation project within Philips Medical Systems. Major contribution was in the area of requirements gathering for the underlying network and proposals for the locations of databases.

For the Spanish pension fund I have set up an optical archive solution to replace their microfilm archive with millions of records.
